NBSE declares HSLC, HSSLC compartmental and improvement results

Dimapur, July 21 (EMN): Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) on Friday declared the provisional results of the HSLC and HSSLC compartmental and improvement examination 2023, which was conducted from June 22 to the 28th.

NBSE chairperson, Asano Sekhose, informed that 685 out of the total 1510 candidates have qualified in the HSLC compartmental examination 2023 with a pass percentage of 43.48%.

In the HSSLC compartmental examination 2023, a total of 640 candidates appeared in Arts stream, out of which 364 candidates passed with a pass percentage of 56.88%, while in Commerce stream 88 candidates appeared and 55 candidates passed the examination with a pass percentage of 62.50%.

In the Science stream, 78 out of the total 223 candidates have passed with a pass percentage of 34.98%.

In HSLC improvement examination 2023, 30 candidates appeared and 27 qualified. In HSSLC improvement examination 2023, under Arts stream, one candidate appeared and passed, while in the Science stream, 35 candidates appeared and 18 passed.

It mentioned that NBSE has conducted the compartmental examination for the HSSLC candidates for the first time.

Similarly, an improvement examination for both HSLC and HSSLC candidates was also conducted for the first time where the provision to appear in the examination in the same year was given for improvement of performance to facilitate students to improve grades or marks to pursue higher education with their choice of subjects.

It further stated that the HSLC and HSSLC compartmental and improvement examinations 2023 were conducted smoothly with the support and cooperation of the centre superintendents, teachers, district administration, police and medical personnel.
