Dimapur, Nov. 13 (EMN): National Building Construction Corporation Ltd. (NBCC) has committed to construct a community health centre (CHC) building in Seyochung sub-division under Kiphire district with an amount of INR 2.35 crore as part of their corporate social responsibility (CSR).
An update from EAC of Seyochung, Moasunep K Jingru, stated that the company would also provide x-ray machine, ultra Sound, ECG, USG machine etc. and a BSL ambulance in their second phase. He added that with the execution of the project, the CHC Seyochung would be one of the most well-equipped health centers in the whole of Nagaland and Northeast.
It stated that the company was committed to building such health facilities in the most isolated and remote parts of the country so as to ensure effectiveness of CSR implementation.
It mentioned that most of the companies do not invest CSR in Nagaland and other Northeastern states. It was made known during the first “CSR and Investment Conclave 2022” by the union Finance Minister, Nirmala Sitharaman, which was held in Kohima in the month of August.
It stated that NBCC team from Shillong led by its DGM, Zuchi Humtsoe, along with EAC, Moasunep K Jingru from the district administration verified the site on November 11 to start the execution of the project. It added that the project was expected to be completed before the end of this financial year.
