Dimapur, March 24 (EMN): A new Sunday school building cum staff quarter of the Nepali Baptist Church Chümoukedima (NBCC) was dedicated by the executive secretary of Association of Gorkha Baptist Churches Nagaland (AGBCN), K Santabir Rai, at Ward No. 5 on March 24.
Speaking at the dedication service, K Santabir Rai, said every Christian should build foundations deeply rooted in Christ. Lauding the church members for their enormous contributions and efforts in constructing the building, he reminded them that a church has to be built with the right motives to glorify God.
The Reverend asked the gathering to eliminate selfishness and start loving one another with the love of Christ Jesus. Appreciating the pioneers and elders of NBCC for making painstaking efforts towards shaping a new building, he asked the youngsters to take a role in spreading love and peace through the new building.
The new building will house quarters for the pastor, women pastor, youth pastor, meeting hall, Sunday school rooms, guest rooms, conference room for holding seminars, programmes with jamming room etc.
Pastor Robert Aley, convenor of building committee, informed that the work for foundation of the new church building began in April 2018.
AGBCN executive secretary, K Santabir Rai, also unveiled the plaque of a new church building. The dedication service was led by Santosh Chettri, church secretary, while the invocation prayer was said by Andriyas Lamgadey and the welcome address was proposed by its pastor Robert Aley.
