Nature SBI Foundation Nagaland conducts health camp and Swachh Bharat Abhiyan at Zisaji Presidency College, Kiphire.

DIMAPUR — Nature SBI Foundation Nagaland conducted a specialist health camp and Swachh Bharat Abhiyan initiative under the SBI Sanjeevani – Clinic on Wheels programme at Zisaji Presidency College (ZPC), Kiphire, on Tuesday.
According to an update, Dr. Zioba Anar conducted a session on the “Importance of oral health education", stating that tobacco-related products are detrimental to both teeth and the body.
Highlighting that Nagaland ranks among the top states in tobacco consumption, he warned that users often ignore the risks until it affects them or their families.

He noted that a person spends approximately INR 300 to INR 400 per week on tobacco. Citing an example of a 65-year-old patient diagnosed with oral cancer, Dr. Anar encouraged students to avoid tobacco and prioritise their health.
During the programme, Longtili C Sangtam, project lead of Nature SBI Foundation Nagaland, shared the achievements of February 2026. He informed that 24 villages were covered, recording 103 medical outpatient department (MOPD) visits, 1,732 beneficiaries, 399 lab tests, eight referrals, and one sanitation and awareness drive each.
Materials were distributed by the branch manager of the State Bank of India (SBI), Kiphire.
Earlier, the vice principal of ZPC delivered the welcome address, thanking the foundation for providing free health services to the people of Kiphire. He appreciated Longtili and his team for their outreach and assured them that the provided materials would be utilised effectively.
The event included a sanitation drive as part of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and a specialist health camp focusing on anaemia screening in young adults, where 24 students were screened.
