Dimapur, Nov. 22 (EMN): The Native Trax Society (NTS) will be organising ‘Naga Thali Challenge,’ the first ever eating Competition on Dec. 3.

An update from NTS issued on Nov. 22 informed that, the ‘Naga Thali Challenge’ with theme ‘Dangerously Delicious,’ is being held to promote and put the spotlight on the unique Naga cuisine to help boost tourism and present Nagaland as a unique destination.

The event will pit champion eaters against one another in their bid to finish a huge ethnic Naga meal consisting of generous helpings of rice, meat, King Chilli, etc. in the fastest possible time.

NTS has invited food lovers and those with big appetites to come and take part in the challenge. Interested participants can register for the ‘Naga Thali Challenge’ by contacting at 9856201694 or 8837005953 with a registration fee of INR 500 where the winner will walk away richer with a cash award of INR 10,000.

The event is said to beging from 1:00 pm onwards at Nagaland Bamboo Resource Centre, 6th Mile, Sovima in Chümoukedima.

The ‘Naga Thali Challenge’ is being held as part of the Hornbill Festival 2022 in collaboration with NBDA and department of Tourism, Nagaland and supported by Techno Music India, Modern Myriad Branding, Hills FM, Red Box HS, Loreni Wardrobe and Cinescope.
