DIMAPUR — The state team of the National Vector Borne Disease Control Programme (NVBDCP) conducted a four-day monitoring, supervision, and assessment visit in Longleng district from August 6 to the 9th to review the implementation of NVBDCP activities.
During the visit, the team inspected all health units, including the District Hospital Longleng, to cross-check reports and re-orient healthcare workers on relevant programmes.
They reviewed stock registers, provided updated training for laboratory technicians on long-lasting insecticidal nets (LLINs), and held a consultative meeting with frontline health workers at the CMO conference hall, Longleng.

The state team urged the district to work towards achieving the malaria elimination certification target and commended the efforts of the district and NVBDCP staff for maintaining zero malaria cases for the past seven years (2019–2025).
The team was led by Dr. Tinurenla Anichar, deputy director, NVBDCP, along with state consultants and district staff from Mokokchung and UVBDS, Dimapur.
