Kohima, March 3: Northern Angami Sports Association (NASA) once again took the lead in medal standing as the golden jubilee sports meet of the Angami Sports Association (ASA) entered day four.
NASA got past Southern Angami Sports Association (SASA) following their excellent performance in the indoor games finals held this evening. NASA, with a total of 47 medals, now leads with 18 Gold, 14 Silver and 15. SASA, with a total of 47 medals, is placed second with 17 Gold, 13 Silver and 17 Bronze.
The result of men’s volleyball, for both final and the third place matches, is awaited till the time of filing this report. Due to the windy weather, the volleyball matches couldn’t be played, and therefore all the volleyball matches were shifted to IG Stadium and were held later in the evening.
Interestingly, SASA is just one Gold medal behind NASA. Though, SASA would be playing in men’s volleyball final against WASA, yet, it is likely that NASA will emerge as the overall champions as NASA is also one Silver medal ahead of SASA. The men’s volleyball final couldn’t get over even after 9 pm.
