Advisor DUDA, Naiba Konyak emphasised on the importance of sports and said that it plays an integral part in building a progressive society and encouraged the sports persons to take interest in games and sports seriously. He also called upon the sports association to create more facilities at the village level so as to draw more youngsters towards games and sports at a tender age.Naiba Konyak was addressing at the 30th session Tobu Area Students Union general meeting cum sports meet held from January 6 to 10 as chief guest
He challenged the people to be sincere and truthful and to work together for the betterment of the society. He also highlighted the importance of promoting one’s cultural identity and preservation. The closing ceremony was graced by District Welfare Officer, Mon C Sheyau.
Naiba Konyak also inaugurated the black topping approach road from Tobu headquarter to Tobu village under MGNREGS and special development fund of Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio 2012-13 and also inaugurated the extension of Tobu village football ground under DUDA 2013-14.
