Naharbari village provides relief to flood victims

Dimapur, July 20 (EMN): Naharbari Village Council members led by the chairman Tokheli Kikon and VDB secretary, Hutoka Assumi along with GBs and VCM, initiated flood relief camp for affected victims in one of the worst affected area in the recent unfortunate flood in Dimapur. The chairman stated that, on July 19 evening more than 500 households and around 1000 to 3000 people were affected by the nature calamity, around midnight, EAC Chumukedima arrived at the affected areas for assessment. After a brief meeting with the Village Council and GBs, temporary shelter at Village Council Hall and old school building were arranged for the victims. At the FRC, basic items like rice, potatoes, dal, biscuits, water and juice were provided to all the victims, the chairman informed.
