A Staff Reporter Dimapur, October 31 Lok Sabha MP, Neiphiu Rio, today strongly advocated that Naga political issue should be solved at all cost for all round development. Rio was of the view that Nagas should grab the opportunity lest it might not come again, adding that under such situation it would be “only our younger generation who would lose in the long run”. Rio said this in his address at the inaugural function of the North Timber Agency at 5th Mile, Dimapur, on Saturday morning. North Timber Agency is owned by Kevise Sogotsu, who is also the president of Nagaland Timber Traders’ Union (NTTU). Appreciating the hard working nature of Kevise, Rio said his life is a testimony of rag to riches which every Naga must emulate for economic sustainability. Stating that life is all about business, Rio said every business has profit in it if only one pursue them with dedication and determination. With the diminishing wooded forest land in the State, Rio encouraged other timber traders to export only finished and semi-finished products to accrue maximum benefit. He has also advised to wisely make use of the available resources and to destroy the eco-system. He concluded by saying, ‘Mother earth can satisfy your need but it cannot satisfy your greed.’ Proprietor of North Timber Agency, Kevise Sogotsu, president of Naga Council Dimapur, president of Tenyimi Union Dimapur, and representative from Business Association of Naga also spoke on the occasion.
