God is the creator of the Universe, He is the Ruler over His creations. Jesus Christ, the Son of God who came to this earth as a representative of the Trinity God said this after His resurrection from death and before His ascending to Heaven, ” All authority in Heaven and on earth has been given to Me.” (Mathew 28:18).
The Naga Christians are called out and chosen by this creator who holds all authorities in the Universe. The Nagas are chosen to partake the power of God, authority and the Kingdom of God. The Naga Christians must identify themselves as the most privileged creature of God and live according to the purpose and call of God. The Nagas are created, called and chosen to be the Christians.
In the Bible, the Christians mean the believers of Christ, followers of Christ, disciples of Christ, Servants of Christ, Children of God, people who have been redeemed by Christ. This group of people has been called “Christians.” They are chosen people, a royal priesthood, Holy Nation, God’s own people, the heirs of God and joint-heirs with Christ. Christians are special treasure-possessions of God. Christians means whose Names are written in Heaven (Lk.10:20), they are the citizens of Heaven even though they live on this earth (Phil.3:20; John 17:14,16).
Christianity is not a religion of Confusion. Jesus Christ, who came to save us knew very well that He was going to Heaven and be with His Father after His death and Resurrection. Paul, the Servant of God wrote in 2Timothy 4:6-8 about his successful fight, race, faith and sure of righteous’ crown prepared for him. He was sure about His Salvation before his departure. Elijah and his colleague prophets knew well that Elijah was going to be taken into Heaven alive by this Christians’ God. Elijah, the prophet of the Living God knew it very well(2Kings 2:1-12). We know Our Ancestor Abraham is in Heaven because Jesus Christ Himself said while He was on this earth (Luke 16:19-31).
If any Naga Christian is not living with this hope of Glory, you are wasting your time and misleading yourself. Hence, the word of God is calling you that you may return to Him as the prodigal (lost) son came back to his Father with repentance(Lk.15:11-32). You must come to Him with a sincere confession of your sins like King David (Psalm 51:1-19).The Spirit of God has on many occasions revealed that the Nagas are disobeying God, and the sins of the Nagas have become exceedingly numerous (Ezk.9:9). The Nagas should not continue to grieve the Spirit of God as the people in Noah’s day. Christians are truly precious than diamond and gold, see Mat.16:26 too. Christians should not throw themselves away in exchange of temporal materials and earthly entertainments. Every individual Naga must confess your sins for misusing and denying the privileges God offered you.
From Chief Minister down to the poorest citizens of Nagaland need to repent before God like the people of Nineveh. When ungodly King of Nineveh ordered the citizens of Nineveh to fast & pray with sack clothes and even their domestic creatures were made to fast along with them!
Will it be a difficult job for a Christian CM and rulers and Church leaders to talk together for National repentance and prayer Day? Besides, Nagas are kept in the box for many years now. If the Naga people delay to take God’s help, the worst situation may come to overtake us. Hence, the Naga Christians need to seek God’s face unitedly at the earliest to commit our issues to Him.
During the time of Queen Esther and Mordecai, the Jews did 3 Days Fasting & Prayer and they had a great deliverance. The God who answered the prayer of the Jews and the citizens of Nineveh will certainly help us to solve our problems too. This God has indeed heard the prayer of the Naga Christians all these many days that we are sustained from untold difficulties and blessed this far. But many Nagas have forgotten God, entangled with sins and become unfaithful to God. If Christians does not live like Christians, there is a danger of this earthly life as well as in the Kingdom to come. Therefore, the Naga Christians must encourage one another to live as Biblical Christians with hope of Salvation and rewards in Heaven.
No human Government, Prime Minister, President or creatures that exists on this planet earth will be able to care and offer us the Kingdom of God. No one can make the Nagas special beyond the plans and calls God has for the Nagas. The Naga Christians must know it better everyday and remain as a special people of God.
