Nagamese film ‘Wounded Woman’ released in Dimapur

Dimapur, Feb. 22 (EMN): A Nagamese film titled ‘Wounded Woman’, directed and produced by Ajay Kumar under the Pooja Film production, was released at Tourist Lodge in Dimapur on February 22.
The chairman of Indian Human Rights Council, Nagaland, S Richard Humtsoe released the film.
Speaking at the event, Humtsoe said that women-centric films empower women and that women should not be overlooked. He’s optimistic that Nagaland film industry will achieve great heights in near future.
He also said that Nagaland film fraternity should collaborate with the government under the Information and Broadcasting Ministry and avail central schemes for the film production and filmmakers.
Speaking on the occasion as guest of honour, NPF Minority Wing (Central) president, Bishnu Bhattacharjee said that the film industry has lots of potential to provide employment opportunities in the state.
Bhattacharjee also acknowledged Ajay Kumar for his contribution towards providing opportunities and platform to young people.
Kumar, who has been working in the film industry for 27 years, informed that ‘Wounded Woman’ is a tragic thriller shot in just 45 days.
The director also revealed that from March 2021, he will start working on his next project, an Assamese film.
