KOHIMA — The Third World Mafia (TWM) Gaming from Nagaland have become the first team from the North Eastern states to qualify for the grand finals of the prestigious Battlegrounds Mobile India Series 2023 or BGIS 2023, scheduled to be held on October 12, 13 and the 15th in Mumbai.
India's top 16 teams including TWM Gaming will vie for the championship title to be held at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Stadium in Mumbai.

E-sport has already been recognised as a game by the Indian Olympic Association and was also approved as a medalled event at the recently concluded 19th Asian Games.
Founder and Manager of TWM Gaming Minlen Singson said there is a "huge career in esports like any other" and that "it’s time people break the barriers and think beyond the normal."
In a recent interview with this newspaper, Singson noted that in states like Mizoram and Sikkim, the state government is supporting e-sports and players because of the boost in the Tourism sector that e-sport bring.
He expressed hope that the Nagaland government will also follow suit and introduce e-sport tournaments.
Some achievements of TWM Gaming Nagaland are champion of BGMI Sikkim Series Season 2, first position in DS Wifi Championship, second position in Dimension Cup Season 3, Thug Amateur league champions 2023, Heatwave 1.0 champions, Panda King Tournament champions etc.
The players of TWM Gaming are Ngurang Takar aka TWMxNINZAE, Samuel Nabam (TWMxSAMzzz), Kezhangutuo Metha (TWMxLOBSTER), Mrinal CR (TWMxDESTINY), Dzieseser Souhu (TWMxFreyzey), and the owner Minlen Singson (TWMXALFA). Among them, three are from Nagaland, one from Assam and two from Arunachal Pradesh.
