Nagaland’s Sungjem triumphs as ‘Skin Influencer of the Year’

Dimapur, Dec. 21 (EMN): Nagaland’s Sungjemlila Longkumer won the ‘Skin Influencer of the Year 2023’ award at the glitzy WhosNext 2023 Influencer Awards held at the Hyatt Regency in Delhi on Dec. 19.
In its inaugural edition, the Influencer Awards is a collaboration between NDTV and WhosThat360, a unique influencer portal providing daily news, updates, and exclusive interviews with influencers and creators globally.
Expressing her joy and gratitude, Sungjemlila who is a certified cosmetologist and content creator, told Eastern Mirror that winning the award was a joyous and rewarding achievement. 
“Content creation is not just my profession; it’s what I enjoy and what keeps me happy every day. To win an award for my work is the icing on the cake,” she shared.
She conveyed her deep gratitude to God, her family, the social media community, and Nagaland for their immense love over the years.

A sociology graduate from Tetso College, Dimapur, Sungjemlila boasts a substantial following of 312K on Instagram (@sungjemish). Describing herself as a ‘skincare fanatic’ on her Instagram page, she is renowned for sharing creative skincare hacks and product reviews.
Engaged in content creation for the past five years, Instagram serves as her primary platform, complemented by a YouTube channel where she occasionally shares vlogs covering adventures, food, and other topics.
In her role as a cosmetologist, Sungjemlila exclusively focuses on creating content within the skincare niche. Elaborating on her perspective, she stated, “I believe taking care of one’s skin is a form of self-love because this is the one thing we will be wearing for the rest of our lives.”
