Nagaland’s Covid tally rises to 11787 as 26 new cases detected

Dimapur, Dec. 16 (EMN):
The total number Covid-19 cases in Nagaland have increased to 11,787 as 26 new cases were detected on Wednesday.

An update from the minister for Health and Family Welfare, S Pangnyu Phom, informed that Nagaland has recorded 26 new Covid cases: Dimapur-11, five each in Kohima and Mokokchung, two each in Mon and Peren, and one in Phek.

He added that the state also registered 23 recoveries: Kohima-14, Peren-6, and Dimapur-3.

According to Health department, the state currently has 594 active Covid cases, out of which 551 are asymptomatic, 25 mild, 13 moderate on oxygen, four severe on oxygen and one critical (ICU) on ventilator. The state has also recorded 10,993 recoveries so far and 63 deaths, out of which seven have been ruled ‘not Covid-related’.

In terms of state-wise distribution of active Covid cases, Kohima leads with 347, followed by Dimapur-156, Mokokchung-25, Peren-19, Kiphire-14, Mon-12, Tuensang-11, Wokha-7, Zunheboto-2 and Phek-1, while Longleng has no Covid cases.
