Nagaland’s Covid tally rises to 11676 as 42 new cases detected

Dimapur, Dec. 12 (EMN): Nagaland recorded 42 new Covid-19 positive cases on Saturday, taking the state’s tally to 11,676.
This was informed by the minister of Health and Family Welfare, S Pangnyu Phom.
‘42 positive cases of Covid-19 were detected today (Saturday): Dimapur-19, Kohima-10, Kiphire-7, Mokokchung-4 and Peren-2. Also, 64 positive patients have recovered: Tuensang-31, Dimapur-22, and Kohima-11,’ tweeted the minister.
According to information provided by the Health department, Nagaland currently has 607 active Covid-19 cases, out of which 565 are asymptomatic, 28 mild, nine moderate on oxygen, three severe on oxygen and two on ventilator.
The state has also recorded 10,876 recoveries and 68 deaths, out which seven have been ruled ‘not Covid-related’.
In regard to district-wise distribution of active Covid-19 cases, Kohima leads with 354 cases, followed by Dimapur-182, Peren-21, Kiphire-14, Tuensang-11, Mon-10, Wokha-7, Mokokchung-6, and Zunheboto-2, while Phek and Longleng have zero cases.
