Nagaland’s Covid tally breaches 12000-mark

Dimapur, Jan. 13 (EMN):
Nagaland’s Covid-19 caseload has breached 12,000-mark as six fresh cases were detected on Wednesday. The state’s Covid tally stands at 12,003.

An update from the minister of Health and Family Welfare, S Pangnyu Phom, informed that six positive Covid cases – three in Dimapur and one each in Kohima, Mokokchung and Mon — were detected on Wednesday.

The minister also tweeted that seven patients have recovered- six in Kohima and one in Mokokchung.

According to information provided by Health department, Nagaland currently has 103 active cases, out of which 86 are asymptomatic, 10 mild, three moderate on oxygen, two severe on oxygen, one critical-ICU with oxygen and one critical-ICU on ventilator. The state also recorded 11,674 recoveries so far and 86 deaths, out of which 10 have been ruled ‘not Covid-related’.

In terms of district-wise distribution of active cases, Dimapur leads with 66, followed by Kohima-25, Mokokchung-7, two each in Mon and Peren, and one in Longleng, while Kiphire, Phek, Tuensang, Wokha and Zunheboto have zero cases.
