Nagaland’s Covid tally breaches 11000-mark as 69 new cases detected

Dimapur, Nov. 26 (EMN):
Nagaland recorded 69 new Covid-19 positive cases on Thursday, taking the state’s tally to 11,060.

This was informed by the minister for Health and Family Welfare, S Pangnyu Phom.

‘69 positive cases of Covid-19 were detected today (Thursday); Kohima-27, Dimapur-17, Mon-14, Tuensang-8 and Peren-3. The state also recorded 131 recoveries; Dimapur-83, Kohima-18, Tuensang-14, Mon-13 and Phek-3,’ tweeted the minister.

According to information provided by the Health department, Nagaland currently has 1400 active Covid-19 cases, out of which 1326 are asymptomatic, 54 mild, 13 moderate on oxygen and seven critical in ICU. The state has also recorded 9488 recoveries and 63 deaths, out which seven are ruled ‘not Covid-related’.

In regard to district-wise distribution of active Covid-19 cases, Dimapur leads with 718 cases, followed by Kohima-441, Peren-161, Tuensang-40, Mon-33, Phek-4, and one each in Zunheboto,  Kiphire and Mokokchung, while Wokha and Longleng have zero cases so far.
