Nagaland’s Covid-19 tally climbs to 748

Dimapur, July 11 (EMN): The detection of sixteen more Covid-19 positive cases on Saturday took the tally in Nagaland to 748 so far.

In his daily Covid-19 briefing, Home Commissioner Abhijit Sinha said that all the positive persons were receiving medical care at the designated Covid-19 hospitals and Covid-19 care centres.

“Out of the 748 positive cases, the total active cases are 435, and 313 have recovered. As per the severity of symptoms, 431 active cases are asymptomatic and four active cases are mild. Till date, a total of 16,037 samples have been sent for testing through RT-PCR. Results of 14,971 samples have been received. Out of the 16,037 samples, 10,381 samples have been received at the BSL-3 lab at the Naga Hospital Authority Kohima (NHAK) and at the BSL-2 lab at the CIHSR, Dimapur and a total of 9,889 samples have been tested, out of which 532 samples have tested positive.

“In addition a total of 9, 371 samples have been sent for testing on Truenat. 8,817 samples have tested negative, and 264 samples have tested positive which have been sent for confirmation by RT-PCR. A total of 3,431 persons are right now under facility quarantine,” he said.
