Nagaland’s Covid-19 tally breaches 10000-mark as 163 new cases detected

Nagaland recorded 163 new Covid-19 positive cases on Tuesday, taking the state’s tally to 10,188.

This was informed by the minister for Health and Family Welfare, S Pangnyu Phom.

‘163 positive cases of Covid-19 were detected today (Tuesday); Peren-133, Dimapur-14, Kohima-12, Phek-3 and Tuensang-1. Also, 37 positive patients have recovered; Dimapur-21, Mon-10 and kohima-6,’ tweeted the minister.

According to information provided by the Health department, Nagaland currently has 1134 active Covid-19 cases, out of which 1086 are asymptomatic, 24 mild, 13 moderate on oxygen, 4 severe on oxygen and 7 critical in ICU. The state has also recorded 8897 recoveries and 53 deaths, out which six are ‘not Covid-related’.

In regard to district-wise distribution of active Covid-19 cases, Dimapur leads with 658 cases, followed by Kohima-375, Peren-141, Mon-33, Tuensang-13, Mokokchung-7, Phek-6, and Zunheboto-1, while Kiphire, Wokha and Longleng have zero cases so far.
