Nagaland’s Covid-19 cases breach 1500-mark

Dimapur, July 29 (EMN): The total number of Covid-19 cases in Nagaland has breached 1500-mark with 53 new cases being reported on Wednesday, taking the state’s tally to 1513.

This was informed by the minister of Health and Family Welfare, S Pangnyu Phom, through an update on July 29.

“53 new cases of Covid-19 have been detected out of 453 test results received,” the minister tweeted, adding that out of the fresh cases, 29 were in Dimapur, 19 in Kohima and five in Mon district.

Nagaland currently has 931 Covid-19 cases; 577 patients have been declared recovered and four deaths. Dimapur has highest cases among the districts with 402 active cases, followed by Kohima – 301, Mon – 140, Peren – 39, Phek – 14, eight each in Kokokchung, Zunheboto and Tuensang, Wokha – 7, and one case in Longleng.

Kiphire district has not recorded any Covid-19 cases so far.
