Nagaland’s bureaucracy reshuffled

Dimapur, June 27: In a major bureaucratic rejig, the government of Nagaland has allotted either new or additional responsibilities to more than 30 IAS, NCS, NSS and other officers on Thursday.

In a notification issued on Thursday, the government has designated five officers as principal secretaries: R Ramakrishnan, Motsuthung Patton, Abhijit Sinha, N Hushili Sema and Bendagkokba.

Chief Electoral Officer Abhijit Sinha will hold the additional charge of Principal Secretary of Personnel and Administrative Reforms department and Home department.

Home commissioner R Ramakrishnan has been transferred and posted as the Commissioner and Secretary for Health and Family Welfare department. Himato Zhimomi, who was holding that position, has been named as the Principal Secretary for Urban Development.

Commissioner and Secretary for F&C/LMCP N Hushili Sema will hold the additional charge of APC by replacing T Imkonglemba Ao who retires on June 30.

The posting of several deputy commissioners (DC) have also been reshuffled. DC Kohima, Anoop Khinchi, has been replaced by the Additional Secretary of Land Revenue, Gregory Thejawelie.

Khinchi has been transferred and posted as DC Dimapur to replace Kevekha Kevin Zehol who has been transferred and posted as Additional Secretary for W&H.

DC Peren Sarita Yadav, has been transferred and posted as Joint Secretary for Home department, SAB & GAB branch. She has also been designated as Nodal Officer, Census Operation 2020. She will be replaced by the Joint Secretary of Industries and Commerce Sentiwapang Aier, as the DC of Peren.

DC Zunheboto, Shanavas, has been transferred and posted as Joint Secretary and Principal Director for School Education. Additional Secretary for Municipal Affairs, Peter Lichamo will replace him as DC Zunheboto.

The orders come into immediate effect.
