DIMAPUR — Akumienla L Imchen, a Lance Naik from the 15th IR Mahila Battalion and a karate student of the All Nagaland Karate-Do Association, secured a gold medal in the +68 kg weight category, Individual Senior Female division, at the 19th All India Independence Cup Karate Championship 2025.


According to a press release issued by the All Nagaland Karate-Do Association (ANKA), the championship was held from August 7 to the 10th at Talkatora Indoor Stadium, New Delhi.

The event was organised by Seiko Kai Karate International-India and Bharat Karate Academy, approved by the Karate India Organisation (KIO) and recognised by the World Karate Federation (WKF), Asian Karate Federation, and other international bodies.
