Nagaland wrestling team leave for Khelo India 2020

Kohima, Jan. 13 (EMN): Seven-member Nagaland wrestling team led by coach Kikhwesul Thokhwe left Nagaland on Sunday evening to participate in the ongoing Khelo India 2020 in Guwahati, Assam.

The wrestlers for various categories include: Noseno (48 kg), Vikono (52 kg), Vizoseno (56 kg), Nukhruzolu (57 kg), Kusayi (60 kg), Ngonuyi (51 kg) and Nuto (55 Kg).

Nagaland Wrestling Association (NWA) general secretary Vekhozo informed that the wrestling competition will start from January 16 and conclude on the 19th. The team will return home on January 20.

NWA officials led by its president Neivikuolie Khatsu interacted with the wrestlers at Indira Gandhi Stadium Kohima on January 12 before their departure and encouraged them to give their best to bring laurel to the state.

The team coaches also said that they expect the contingent to bring good name to the state through good performance.

Further, NWA extended best wishes to the team.
