Nagaland Wrestling Association sends two female wrestlers and a coach to the Senior Federation Cup in Ghaziabad.

DIMAPUR — Two female wrestlers along with a coach from the Nagaland Wrestling Association (NWA) left for Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, on Tuesday to participate in the Federation Cup (Senior) in Free Style, Greco-Roman Style and Women Wrestling.
According to a press release, the event is scheduled to be held from February 12 to the 14th at Dasna, Ghaziabad, under the aegis of the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI).
The wrestlers include Vekhonielu Curhah and Putifi Sharu Pfithu, accompanied by coach Vilhou Lhousa.
The team left Dimapur early in the morning and is likely to return to Nagaland on February 16. The participation was accorded on the invitation of the WFI based on the performance at the 2025 Senior National wrestling.
A brief send-off ceremony was held at the NWA office, New Secretariat Road, Kohima, on February 9 with short words of encouragement and a prayer.
