Nagaland women cagers beat Tripura but lose to Manipur

 Nagaland’s women's basketball team trounced Tripura but had to bow down to Manipur at the ongoing 72nd Senior National Basketball (NE - Zonal) on Wednesday at Aizawl, Mizoram.

Although the women cagers won by a comprehensive margin of 55 - 8 over Tripura in their second match on Wednesday, they lost to Manipur 47 - 54 in the subsequent match played on the same day, an update informed.

Earlier, Nagaland won their first match over Arunachal Pradesh by a slim margin of 43 - 41.

The men's team will lock horns with Assam in the first Pool ‘A' match on Thursday at 10:30 am.

Twelve men and 12 women players were selected during the recently concluded Nagaland Olympic & Paralympic Games 2022 to represent the state in the competition held in Mizoram.
