Nagaland: VP Naidu honoured with cultural programme in Dimapur

Dimapur, Oct. 7(EMN): A cultural programme in honour of the vice president of India M Venkaiah Naidu was held on October 7 at Niathu Resort in Dimapur.
Cultural dances were performed by six selected Naga tribes during the programme; ‘Ho-Yia-La’ was performed by Lotha community, ‘Nuknarar Tsungsang’ by Ao community, ‘Sumi Totimi Kighilhe’ by Sumi community, ‘Ajiyouk Khe Khun’ by Yimkhiung community, ‘Maku He Ngichi’ by Sangtam community and ‘Monyu Mo Ku Thongpu Asho’ by Phom community.
Advisor Mmhonlumo Kikon, in his welcome address said that he is impressed by the vice president’s familiarity of North Eastern Region culture.
The Director of NEZCC Gouri Basu also thanked the government for giving the artistes an opportunity to showcase their cultural shoes.
