Nagaland University invites applications to attend convocation
DIMAPUR — Nagaland University (NU), Lumami, has invited applications from all students and scholars interested in participating in or attending the upcoming sixth convocation of the university in person.
A press statement from the university specified that students and scholars are eligible to participate if they have completed their final examinations or courses conducted by the university between January 2023 and December 2023, with declared results.
The eligible categories include Ph.D. Degree, M.Phil Degree, Masters Degree (M.A./M.Sc./M.Com./M.S.W./B.A./M.Sc. (Ag), LL.M., M.Ed., B.Sc. (Ag), B.Tech., B.Sc. Nursing (Basic), B.Sc. Nursing (Post-Basic), LL.B., B.Ed., and all undergraduate courses.
The convocation is scheduled to take place on March 22 at the Nagaland University Headquarters in Lumami. Application forms can be obtained from the university website: nagalanduniversity.ac.in.
It was emphasised that application forms must be accompanied by self-attested photocopies of the most recent examination’s admit card, registration card, and end-semester mark sheet (or notifications in the case of Ph.D./M.Phil).
The application form must also be accompanied by the SBI collect payment receipt of INR 450 for the pass certificate (if not paid earlier). The completed forms must reach the Office of the Controller of Examinations, Nagaland University, Headquarters Lumami, latest by March 11 during office hours.
Students who have already collected their original pass certificates or intend to do so in absentia need not respond to the notification. However, eligible toppers/gold medal recipients (2023) will need to apply to attend (regardless of whether they have collected their pass certificates or not), as they will be receiving their medals/certificates at the convocation.
The provisional list of toppers/gold medal recipients for the 6th NU convocation will be uploaded to the university website for the information of all concerned.
Those students who cleared their final examination between January 2022 and December 2022 and had previously applied to attend the 6th convocation in person, as notified on February 12, 2022, February 2, 2023, and March 22, 2023, need not reapply. However, they are informed to visit the university website to check their names on the list and confirm their participation by email at drexam@nagalanduniversity.ac.in on or before March 11.
It was stated that any application form received by hand, post, or courier after the expiration of the last date shall not be entertained for any reason and will be summarily rejected. Candidates have been advised to ensure, in their own interest, that duly filled-out application forms reach the university before the closing date.
