Dimapur, Nov. 9 (EMN): The Nagaland unit of National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) has asked Nagaland University (NU) authorities to revoke its decision to conduct the “odd semester exams” offline.
In a press release issued on Monday, the union appealed to the NU authorities to conduct the exams “in the same manner as was conducted for the final semester exams in the month of September”.

Conducting the exams in offline mode will not only be a cumbersome exercise but also extremely hazardous. Majority of the students from other districts study in Kohima and Dimapur while staying in rented houses and mostly hostels.
“While transportation will be a major factor, accommodation will be another major hindrance during the festive season. There is already widespread panic among the students, parents and the teachers after the NU decided to conduct the exams in offline mode,” it stated.
