Nagaland: Tovihoto Ayemi gets additional charge of Election department

Just days after Chief Minister of Nagaland Neiphiu Rio allocated portfolios to newly elected legislators from the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) alliance, H Tovihoto Ayemi was on Wednesday given the additional charge of Election department.

This is in addition to his existing portfolio of Tribal Affairs department, said a notification issued by the Nagaland Cabinet Secretariat (Cabinet Cell).

Ayemi was re-elected from 1 Dimapur-I Assembly Constituency on BJP ticket in the recent election and has been representing the constituency since 2013. He was the advisor of Power department in the 13th Nagaland Legislative Assembly. Kohima, March 15 (EMN)
