Dimapur, Sep. 7 (EMN): Office of the DIG Group Centre CRPF at Khatkhati; FCI Regional Office in Dimapur; and Khadi and Village Industries Commissioner in Dimapur, were conferred the Town Official Language Implementation Committee (TOLIC) Shield Scheme awards.
They were awarded during the bi-annual meeting of Dimapur TOLIC held on September 7 at ARTC&S, Dimapur, under the chairmanship of Colonel Rajiv Chaudhary, deputy commandant of ARTC&S. An update from ARTC&S stated that the scheme was introduced to enhance the spirit of healthy competition among the offices of central government in the implementation of official language policy in a better manner.
[bsa_pro_ad_space id=6]It stated that the Range HQ CRPF in Khatkhati (Assam); 173rd Battalion CRPF at Air Field, Dimapur; 43 Assam Rifles; Regional Ayurveda Research Centre, Dimapur; and Nagaland University were also awarded commendation certificate for their excellent work in the field of official language implementation.
It stated that around 40 members of central government offices in Dimapur attended the meet in the presence of Badri Yadav, deputy director of Official Language, Regional Implementation Office, Guwahati.
Asitkamal, Hindi officer, and Nb Sub (HT) APS Guleria of ARTC&S welcomed all members of the committee. It stated that various points on implementing official language in the offices were discussed.
Speaking on the occasion, Badri Yadav has lauded the efforts of ARTC&S for excellent conduct of TOLIC Dimapur as well as the member offices for their continuous efforts towards wide publicity of the official language Hindi.
It stated that importance of progressive use of Hindi in central government offices was highlighted during the meet.
Colonel Rajiv Chaudhary, deputy commandant of ARTC&S, has emphasised upon the importance of use of Hindi language in the offices and requested all members to implement the policies issued by the government of India.
