Nagaland to take part in 72nd Junior National Basketball Championship

The Nagaland junior girls’ basketball team will participate in the 72^nd Junior National Basketball Championship to be held at the Sree Kranteerava Stadium, Bangalore, from January 21 to the 27^th.

Nagaland Basketball Association (NBA) in an update informed that the state team will be led by Seyievinuo Nguzhu (manager), Kevilhoubei Khezhie (coach) and Temsu Longkumer (asst. coach).

The Nagaland junior girls’ basketball team qualified as the third best team in the National Zonals held in Shillong, Meghalaya, in 2022.

The junior girls’ basketball squad comprises of Ruokuosanuo Sachu (captain),  Neikeduonuo Sachu (vice captain), Ruokuosanuo Sachü, Neikeduonuo Sachü, K Deborah Newmai, Rokovino Pucho, Medosevino Nagi, Keneingunuo Keditsu, Rupa Gurung, Maria Goretti Beck, Phibalari Kharmaw, Skani Sumer, Ibajanai Rani and Maryliana Jyrwa.

The championship is being organised by the Karnataka State Basketball Association under the aegis of the Basketball Federation of India.
