Nagaland to partner with Latvia

Kohima, Oct. 2 (EMN): Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and Ambassador of Latvia to India Artis Bērtulis announced partnership between Riga Cathedral Choir School, Latvia, and the Task Force for Music and Arts (TaFMA), Nagaland, on October 2.

“Riga Cathedral Choir School, Latvia, and Task Force for Music and Arts, Nagaland, as institutional partners and will pursue ways and means for artistic pursuits and exchange of knowledge and cultural programs between Latvia and Nagaland, India,” the tweet read.

 ‘I congratulate the institutional partnership between Riga Cathedral Choir School, Latvia, and TaFMA Nagaland India. I thank His Excellency Artis Bertulis, Ambassador of Latvia to India for his initiative. I am confident that this venture will fulfil our aspiration of promoting our youth through music,’ Rio tweeted.

In the month of February 2020, the Embassy of Latvia in India, in collaboration with Hope Centre for Excellence, Patkai Christian College and the Associate Board of Royal School of Music (ABRSM) conducted a workshop on choir music and choral concert at Patkai Christian College.
