Nagaland to begin Covid-19 vaccination for 12-14 age group

Dimapur, March 15 (EMN): The department of Health and Family Welfare has announced that Covid-19 vaccination for children in the 12-14 age group will begin in the state on Wednesday at government Covid vaccination centres.

An update from the department informed that children born on or before March 15, 2010 are eligible for vaccination starting on March 16. However, it will be initially rolled out only in Kohima and Dimapur before expanding to other districts as soon as the vaccines are dispatched to those areas.

It added that CorBEvax vaccine has been approved only for those who have completed 12 years of age at the time of vaccination and the vaccinator will verify the age during inoculation.

The vaccine is free and registration can be done through an existing account on CoWIN of a family member or by creating a new account through a unique mobile phone number, to avail. The update added that the vaccinator facilitated onsite registration as well.
