Nagaland thrash Mizoram by 162 runs in Vinoo Mankad U-19 Trophy
Dimapur, Oct. 22 (EMN): In the last match of the Vinoo Mankad U-19 One Day tournament for the Palate Group, Nagaland trashed Mizoram by 162 runs and finished second in the group.
Bihar being the top team in the group qualified for the knock-out stage.
Nagaland put up an exceptional show in the tournament defeating Manipur, Arunachal, Sikkim Pondicherry, Meghalaya and Mizoram, drew with Uttrakhand due to bad weather and lost only to Bihar (6 wins, one draw and one loss). The team is returning home on Tuesday.
This is the best performance till now in the 2018-19 season by Nagaland. Earlier in the Vijay Hazare Senior Men’s Team, Nagaland won 5 matches and lost 3.
