Nagaland: Taekwondo Hall of Famer Israel G Xuivi felicitated

Dimapur, Aug. 30(EMN): Grand master Israel G Xuivi, founder of Naga Kiti-do and an International Taekwon-do player, was felicitated at Dimapur airport upon his arrival on Tuesday.
He was officially inducted in the Taekwondo Hall of Fame at Hyatt Regency, 2 Exchange Palace, Jersey City, New Jersey, USA on August 19.
It may be mentioned that he was inducted for his outstanding achievements by tagging him as “Pioneer Taekwon-do Instructor”.
Xuivi, while speaking during the programme, thanked the organisers for arranging the event, and shared that he started this sport out of his passion and interest and it soon became his identity. He also said that nothing would have been possible without the help of countless people in his journey.
“I feel that my achievement must be shared and therefore I dedicate this achievement to the people of Nagaland. May it inspire the younger generations to come.”
“I did not dream about getting into the Taekwondo Hall of Fame, but with God’s blessings and practice my achievements were recognised”, he said.
He also thanked the Police department for giving support and clearance and also the DGP for trusting him.
Further, he said that Nagas can do anything but one should never give up, and thus encouraged the youngsters to continue even if they struggle as a good future awaits them.
Associations and organisations that felicitated Xuivi at the airport included Sumi Hoho, Western Sumi Hoho, Sumi Gazetted Officers’ Union, Nagaland Police department, Nagaland Shooting Sports Association, All Naga Kiti-do Association, Nagaland Taekwondo Federation, Western Sumi Youth Front, Zhimomi Hoho, Ikishe village, Xuivi village Union Dimapur, Aghunato Village Union Dimapur, Central Nagas Tribal Association and others.
