Nagaland: S&WC department releases booklet on meteorological report

Dimapur, April 14 (EMN): K Libanthung Lotha, secretary of Soil and Water Conservation department, released a booklet entitled “Meteorological report of Nagaland 2021” at his office chamber on Wednesday.

In his opening remark, the joint director of the department, Rongsenlemzung, highlighted the importance of meteorological data for all agricultural related activities, an update from the department stated.

While referring to the opinions of experts, he stated that the third world war could be due to “hydro-political issues or water related conflicts.” The joint director mentioned that in light of the climate and water related threats and the fast pace at which climate is changing, it was important not only to record but also document weather data.

The booklet was published by the soil survey and land use planning wing of the department.
