During the visit to Mokokchung to discuss and review the ground situations regarding the poll-related violence which has come to the notice of the Election Commission, the CEO told the political party representatives to report any anomalies about the Modal Code of Conduct by any candidates or party, so that action can be taken by the concerned authority, updated DPRO.
He added that action would be taken as per the law even after the polling is over if the conduct of electoral malpractices has been found against any candidate.
On this, the Home Commissioner said webcasting recordings will be reviewed to ascertain anomalies carried out by any candidate.

Rupin Sharma urged the party representative to create awareness among the electorates to avert creating any situation that may lead to violence, while assuring deployment of more security personnel in all the sensitive polling stations.
The officials also called upon the civil society representative from Ao Senden, Watsu Mungdang and AKM for joint effort in reaching out to the community members to avoid any situation that may lead to violence.
In this regard, the leaders of the organisations assured to make concrete efforts to avoid poll-related violence.
In another update, the DPRO and IA, Wokha, informed that the state officials also held a series of meeting with district administration, police, political parties and civil society organisations of Wokha district at the Deputy Commissioner’s office in Wokha town.
In the backdrop of pre-poll violence being reported in the district, the officials reviewed the law and order and had consultative meetings with various political parties and civil society organisation leaders in order to maintain a peaceful atmosphere and conduct of free and fair election.
They appealed to the leaders to sensitize the public to maintain peace and not to indulge in any election-related violence.
The CEO asked the district administration and law enforcing agencies to remain vigilant during the poll and post poll period while expressing confidence that they will take proactive measures to maintain the law and order in the district. Dimapur, Feb. 25 (EMN):
