Nagaland Staff Selection Board modalities subject to rectification, says NSF
Appeals to the state government to approve the board within one month
Dimapur, July 1 (EMN): The modalities of the Nagaland Staff Selection Board (NSSB) were deliberated at the consultative meeting convened by the state government with the Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) and Eastern Naga Students’ Federation (ENSF) in the secretariat conference hall on Wednesday, July 1.
An update from NSF informed that the meeting was chaired by Chief Secretary Temjen Toy, was attended by NSF and ENSF leaders, Commissioner and Secretary P&AR and other state government officials.
After deliberating on the modalities of NSSB presented by the state government, the house “agreed upon that the modalities at hand will be subjected to necessary rectification if any”.
The NSF also expressed appreciation to the incumbent state government led by Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and his council of ministers for their sincerity and concern towards the welfare of the aspirant student community.
“The Nagaland Staff Selection Board has been a long cherished dream of the students’ community and the youths of our state which will bring about equal job opportunity and meritocracy in the process of selection,” the NSF stated.
“The federation, therefore, express confidence and further appeals the state government, that the Nagaland staff selection board (NSSB) be approved in letter and spirit within the stipulated period of one month as previously communicated,” it added.
