Students, faculties and the proprietor of Shofar Music Academy joined hands in celebration as the academy turned one year on Sep. 28.
Established in 2018, the day marked the progress of the academy with a total of 91 students enrolled this year.
The Academy provides piano, voice, guitar, drums, violin, music theory and chorale conducting class.
The anniversary programme was held at the studio of Shofar Music Academy, Ours Building on Sep. 28 in Dimapur.
Deputy Commissioner of Dimapur, Kevekha Kevin Zehol , a music lover himself, graced the event as the special guest where he shared the memory of his youth life to the students.
“Music is truly a universal language which everyone understands, whether sad or happy, music sets the motion for feelings,” he expressed.
He reminded the students that there are so many people who wants to sing and play music but they are unable to do so because not everyone has been given the talent for music.
“God has chosen few of us to sing and that, we must deliver” he said.
Proprietor, Shofar Music Academy, Abigail Odyuo said that the vision of the academy was to enhance music education through innovative ways of learning and to make the students use music as a profession in life for economic stability.
