DIMAPUR — Nagaland won first position in the painting competition and figured in the top 30 prototype machine exhibition and competition at the 11th national level exhibition and project competition of the Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research- Million Minds Augmenting National Aspiration and Knowledge (INSPIRE MANAK) organised by the Department of Science and Technology, New Delhi, and the National Innovative Foundation, India (NIF).
The 11th national level exhibition and project competition of the INSPIRE MANAK took place at the ITPO, Pragati maidan, New Delhi, on September 17 and 18, stated an update from SCERT, Nagaland.
Team Nagaland was led by Keviraleù-o Kerhou, director of SCERT, Nagaland.
It stated that Lekivi Sumi presently studying in Holy Cross Higher Secondary School, Dimapur, secured the top 30 at the national level exhibition and project competition.
The DST also organised a national level painting competition on “Clean India of my dream,” wherein Farhadul Islam Talukdar presently studying in JNV, Kiphire, secured the first position, while the second and third position went to Orisa and Uttar Pradesh respectively.

The report stated that team Nagaland did an excellent job and made the state proud as all prototype machines for the competition were innovative, perfectly working and built with standard material. It, however, qualified for top 30 prototype machine at the national level.
Meanwhile, SCERT Nagaland has requested all school authorities in Nagaland especially from middle and high schools to nominate their students for the said award and competition.
