Nagaland: Several departments bid farewell to officers

DHFW bids farewell to outgoing principal director

Dimapur, May 2 (EMN): Department of Health and Family Welfare (DHFW) bade farewell to its outgoing principal director, Dr. Neikhrielie Khimiao, during a programme held at the directorate on April 30.

Health minister, S Pangyu Phom, and the principal secretary of Health department, Amardeep Singh Bhatia, along with senior officers, chief medical officers and medical superintendents from different districts and staff of the department attended the programme.

As a mark of recognition for his outstanding service and contribution, the department presented the retiring officer with a citation, stated an update from the Health department.

In their speeches, Pangnyu Phom and Amardeep Singh Bhatia expressed gratitude to the retiring officer for his invaluable contributions to the department and in making the journey a memorable one for all involved.

In his farewell speech, Dr. Neikhrielie Khimiao thanked God for his plans to bring him thus far. He also thanked the department for making his tenure worthwhile and for giving the opportunity to work with the wonderful company that supported him in all his endeavours.

Meanwhile, the department of Food and Civil Supplies (F&CS) also bade farewell to Temsu Jamir, Additional Director; S Alila Wai, Registrar and Hokheto Chishi, Sr. Accounts Officer at the Conference Hall, Directorate of Food and Civil Supplies, Dimpaur on April 30.

V Lovitoly Sema, Director F&CS, conveyed gratitude to the retiring officers and Sr. Accounts Officer F&CS, who has been transferred as Sr. Treasury Officer, Chumoukedima, for the sacrifices and the contribution that they rendered to the department.

The outgoing officers also delivered speeches, wherein Jamir, Additional Director F&CS shared that the staff of F&CS should relentlessly work in their assigned duty so as to serve the poor and the needy. He also suggested that a ‘Best performing district award’ be established in the department based on certain criteria in order to motivate the district officers.

The directorate of Soil and Water Conservation also bade farewell to two of its staff, S Limatula Ao, Cartographist  and  Avino Thapo, Stenographer  Grade II.

The programme was led by Joint Director, Lipokmar Yaden. Reminiscence was delivered by Superintendent, Khriesatuonuo Solo.

Speaking on behalf of the department, Project director, AS Hovuto, acknowledged  the retiring staff for contributing  immensely towards the department’s growth. He described them as ‘sincere employees whose qualities were worth appreciating’.

In her farewell speech S Limatula Ao thanked the almighty for the successful completion of her service and thanked the department for their constant support and help.

Earlier, invocation was said by Kum Mhechepeu Keviechu, SCA and benediction was offered by Wondangbeni Kikon, SDO (SC).
