261 quarantine centres set up in Nagaland; INR 2190 lakh sanctioned to DTFs

Phom says INR 688.17 lakh released to various district hospitals and healthcare centres

Kohima, Aug. 13 (EMN):
The minister for Health and Family Welfare, S Pangnyu Phom, said that 261 quarantine centres, comprising 206 institutional and 55 paid quarantine centres, with a total bed capacity of 15,843 were set up in Nagaland in view of the Covid-19 pandemic.

He was replying to a starred question during the sixth session of the 13th Nagaland Legislative Assembly, on Thursday in Kohima.

According to the minister, INR 88.65 lakh and INR 2101.403 lakh from the department of Health and Family Welfare and Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority respectively, were sanctioned to various district task forces for quarantine centres.

Phom informed that a total of INR 688.17 lakh have been released to various district hospitals and chief medical officers of which includes CHCs and PHCs.
