The Nagaland Ranji Trophy team[/caption]
Dimapur, Oct. 30 (EMN): Nagaland is all set to host four Ranji Trophy matches from Nov. 1 at the Nagaland Cricket Stadium, Sovima in Dimapur. The first game will be played against Mizoram from Nov. 1-4 stated an update received here on Tue. Oct. 30.
The Nagaland Cricket Association is optimistic that it will be able to host the games at par with the other states
The NCA has declared its team for the first ever first class match in Nagaland.
The team members are Jonathan Rongsen (C), Hokaito Zhimomi, Tahmeed Rahman, Mughavi Wotsa, Inakato Zhimomi, Imliwati Lemtur, Paras Sehrawat, Jalaluddin, Toni Chishi, Sedezhalie Rupreo, Nitesh Lochab, Santosh Mahato and Rachit Bhatia.
The guest players are KB Pawan (wk), Abrar Kazi and Pawan Suyal.
The support staffs include Kawaljeet Singh (Coach), Dinesh Suvarna (Trainer), Mowalong Kichu (Physio) and A Rahman (Manager)
Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio along with his cabinet colleagues will witness the first match on Nov. 1.
Amitabh Choudhury, Acting Secretary, BCCI, Sayed Saba Karim, General Manager, BCCI, Pradip Buragohain, General Secretary, Assam Cricket Association will also attend the match.
The match will begin at 8 am on Nov. 1 after the inauguration of the new player’s pavilions at the Nagaland Cricket Stadium, Sovima by Neiphiu Rio.
The Nagaland Cricket Association has appealed to all cricket lovers to come and witness the first ever Ranji trophy match being played in Nagaland.
