Nagaland Science Centre commemorates National Science Day

Dimapur, March 28 (EMN): Nagaland Science Centre under the department of Science and Technology commemorated the National Science Day (NSD) on March 27 on the theme “Future of Science, Technology & Innovation: Impacts on education, skill & work”.

Speaking at the programme, Richard Rikhio, Science Officer, emphasised on the importance of Science and Technology and how Science paved the way to innovation and ultimately became technology which are essential for human development. He also informed that the commemoration of NSD 2021 was delayed owing to the pandemic and other various reasons, an update from the centre stated.

It stated that Kapil Thapa, principal of Kudatech Skill Centre, also spoke on the importance of local innovation and local skill development, while I Victor Chang, local innovator, demonstrated few of his local innovations and interacted with the participating students.

It added that students from  Lorna’s Higher Secondary School, Bethesda Higher Sec School, Namghar High School and Assembly of God Higher Secondary  School from Dimapur participated in the event.

T Wilson, education assistant of Innovation Hub, demonstrated an experimental Science show to the participants.
