Dimapur, Sep. 10 (EMN): The Sumi Baptist Convention (SBC) organised an ‘All Sumi Reverend Convention 2022’ on September 6 and 7 at Satakha Town Baptist Church. The convention was organised with a purpose to foster unity and harmony among the Sumi churches. An update from SBU informed that the convention was attended by 97 reverends from every Sumi church of various denominations. The executive secretary of SBAK Aizuto, Rev. Mulato and executive secretary of WSBAK, Dr. Phughoto, were the speakers of the convention.
In the inaugural programme, chairman of STBC deacon board, Atoka Aye, delivered the welcome address and Dr. Hokishe Yeptho, chairman emeritus, exhorted the congregation.
“The convention culminated with an optimistic hope for All Sumi Churches in the days to come,” it stated.
