Nagaland: Sameti organises training on farm mechanisation
Dimapur, April 14 (EMN): State Agricultural Management and Extension Training Institute (Sameti) organised a two-day training programme on farm mechanisation at Medziphema on April 12 and 13.
The training programme was organised with an aim to upgrade skills on farm machineries, an update from Sameti stated.
During the training, the trainees were taught on scope and opportunities of farm machineries in Nagaland, operation, parts and use of brush cutter and power tiller.
Resource persons of the training were Kitoho Micheal Swu, SDAO Medziphema; Viketuno Chusi, junior SMS at IETC Medziphema; and Seyievielo Sono, lecturer at IETC Medziphema. The participants were imparted hands-on practical demonstrations on farm machinery.
It stated that the participants from all the districts had productive interaction with the resource persons during the two days training session.
The valedictory programme was chaired by Yezaho Swu, deputy project director of Sameti. Certificates were distributed to the trainees by Dr. Watimongla Jamir, director of Sameti and Principal IETC, and Janet Chishi, DPD Sameti pronounced the vote of thanks.
