DIMAPUR — In a tragic incident, two persons were charred to death after a truck met with an accident and caught fire at Ahozhe (Lotovi) village under Kuhuboto town in Nuiland on the night of February 12.
The Central Fire Station received a distress call at around 11:26 pm and promptly dispatched two fire tenders along with fire personnel to douse the flames. It took nearly two and a half hours to completely bring the fire under control as it was carrying coal.
According to officials from the Central Fire Station, the truck, which was transporting coal, met with an accident before it caught fire. Unfortunately, both the driver and handyman of the truck were burned to death in the blaze.
