Nagaland reports 78 new Covid-19 cases; 41k in India

Dimapur, July 11 (EMN):
Nagaland on Sunday reported 78 fresh Covid-19 cases, taking the state’s active tally to 971, and total tally to 25976.

Out of the 78 cases, 40 were reported from Kohima, 11 from Dimapur, seven from Kiphire, five each from Mokokchung and Zunheboto, three each from Phek and Wokha, two from Longleng, and one each from Mon and Peren, according to data from the department of Health and Family Welfare.

Meanwhile, 77 recoveries were reported in the last 24 hours, pushing the total number of recoveries to 23775.

The state has also recorded 493 Covid-19 deaths till date.

India reports 41k new cases

India reported 41,506 (41k) positive coronavirus infections on Sunday, pushing the total tally of Covid-19 to 3,08,37,222, according to data from the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

It said that with 41,526 recoveries on Sunday, the active cases declined to 4,54,118.

Moreover, the death toll climbed to 4,08,040 with 895 fresh fatalities.

A total of 37,60,32,586 vaccine doses have been administered through 48,33,797 sessions, while 37,23,367 vaccine doses were administered in the last 24 hours.
