Nagaland reports 77 new Covid-19 cases, 39k in India

Nagaland reported 77 new Covid-19 cases on Sunday, taking the active tally to 1380 and total tally to 28628.

According to data from the department of Health and Family Welfare, Dimapur and Kohima reported 28 cases each, nine in Mokokchung, six in Tuensang, two each in Zunheboto and Phek, and one each in Kiphire and Wokha.

Meanwhile, the state also reported 89 recoveries in the last 24 hours.

The death toll stands at 571 with two deaths reported in the last 24 hours.

India reports 39k cases

India reported 39,070 new Covid-19 infections on Sunday, taking the total tally to 3,19,34,455, according to data from the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

It said that the death toll climbed to 4,27,862 with 491 fresh fatalities.

Meanwhile, 3,10,99,771 people have recovered from Covid-19 while 43,910 patients recovered in the last 24 hours.

Cumulatively, 50,68,10,492 vaccine doses have been administered through 58,51,292 sessions while 55,91,657 vaccine doses were administered in the last 24 hours.
